The Bullet Journal : All you need is a notebook and a pen.

“The Bullet Journal is a customizable and forgiving organization system. It can be your to-do list, sketchbook, notebook, and diary, but most likely, it will be all of the above. It will teach you to do more with less.” Ryder Caroll

The idea behind the Bullet Journal as developed by Ryder Caroll was to record those pieces of information that are important to us in an easy, concise, as-much-or-as-little as is needed approach. This is not a pre-drawn planner that commits or limits you to an area of page each day. You have no need to buy specialized, much less expensive, books or pens or art supplies to keep a very high quality and effective BuJo. All you need is a notebook and a pen. That’s it. And personally, I recommend starting with no more. Keep it simple.

I HIGHLY recommend watching the brief and concise video on www.BulletJournal.com to get started. Then just follow those instructions. Avoid Pintrest and Instagram lest your BuJo become an art project instead of a functional tool.

I will not be showing you photos of my actual BuJo. I may draw up examples in a spare book as needed, but my BuJo is mine and not intended for internet consumption. I don’t want to moderate my content for the safety of a blog. Thank you for understanding. I will do posts on each of the aspects of the BuJo that I do utilize in the hope that what works for me can lend ideas to others and encourage others to share ideas WITH ME via the comments!

My BuJo is slightly different because I utilize some precepts of GTD in the execution of the Bullet Journal. If that’s helpful to you, you’re welcome.

So grab a notebook of your preference and a writing tool of your desire and jump in with me!
